Diy White Cotton Crop Top

I realize making a new crop top isn't seasonally appropriate, but I only had this much fabric leftover from an earlier skirt. Sometimes you just have to work with what you have. Weirdly enough I already have two other white crop tops, but this one is obviously different. I mean, it's a bit different from the other boxy crop top because that one was transparent.

It also doesn't hurt that I've never been one to be confined by what I should wear. I have no problem just layering my new crop top over something else and wearing it during the winter.

Currently Craving - Georg Jensen

Some pieces manage to be spectacular without doing very much like this bracelet. Can't quite put into words what I would be willing to do for this bracelet but I'm definitely planning on saving up to get it. If you're curious about the other versions (fancier versions), you can see them over on the Georg Jensen site.

What I Wore - Denim on Denim

Amazing how simple it is to get dressed when you have an incredibly basic wardrobe. It takes two seconds to decide what to wear when you only have a handful of winter appropriate clothes. The thing is, I don't care if it is faster, I miss having options! I'm in the process of sewing a few things and have definite plans to break my shopping hiatus. Back to options for this gal.

New In - Knitted Gift Toque

Don't know if I ever mentioned how great my mother is, but in case you didn't know, she's the bestest. I'm a huge fan of knit scarfs and hats but I am not a fan of actually knitting them. So being the lovely woman she is, my mother made me a black slouchy toque.

I really love the stitch of the knit and how it fits. The truth is, you can never go wrong with a black hat!

What I Wore - Black & Grey

Happy New Year!!! I realize i am a couple days late but what’s the point of the holidays if you can't have them off? I tend to not recognize the New Year until my birthday, it’s a habit of being an early January baby.

So far this winter, on the cold days, I have been living in this grey coat. Technically it's my mother's, but she has parted from it, so I’ve been wearing like it is mine. Most of the clothes I can wear in the cold are either black or grey so it has worked out.  Pairing the grey coat with the all black look stops it from looking too dark and moody.

The New Year signals new posts. I have quite a few things in the woodwork for the blog. I'm sure just like every other blogger, I've started the new year with the goal of posting regularly and more often. See you guys soon with more diys, outfits, and fashion posts!
