Finished - Black & White Print Skirt

Black & White prints are one of my favourites. This one... is particularly awesome. The print and the fabric together are perfect. I decided right after I made this top I knew I wanted a skirt right away. Nice flowy fabric deserves a nice flowy skirt which is why I made this pleated circle skirt.

Matching separates once again because it's just the way I roll.

Diy Print Circle Skirt With Pockets

This skirt right here happens to be the last thing I sewed before I left for Sweden. It might not seem like much, but don't be fooled, this bad boy is the first skirt I've sewed with pockets! I drafted the skirt myself, so it took a second for me to figure out how the pockets would even work, but I got there. The skirt was originally going to have a side seam zipper but I didn't know how to have one and pockets in the seams, so it just closes with buttons. Now I have a half circle skirt, that goes with just about everything, with pockets.

Diy Silk Circle Skirt

I definitely have enough short circle skirts in my wardrobe... but I couldn't resist making this. I found this amazing silk fabric second hand a while ago and felt the urge to sew something out of it. I decided a beautiful floral silk needed to be something slightly girly, hence, the circle skirt. It really isn't the season for it yet but I'll be ready when it is!

Diy Tartan Circle Skirt

Before Christmas Eve rolled around I realized I wanted something new and festive to wear while opening gifts with the family. This is what I ended up wearing on the lovely night.

Handmade Circle Skirt

I've decided for the next week I'm going to put up a couple of things I've sewn in the recent months. Because these were made a while ago obviously I don't have pictures of the process. I really want these projects on my blog though for cataloging purposes. Once I get these pieces up, I'll hopefully have a few projects lined up that will be more descriptive about the process.

I made this skirt in the spring but considering it has leaves on it, it's actually the perfect fall skirt. It's just a basic circle skirt with a elastic waistband.
