Finished - Transparent Black Fringe Top

I bought this fabric a long time ago and loved how fun it was. The black fringy chiffon pieces on the transparent fabric were unique and beautiful. I'm a big fan of playful fabrics and really loved the way this dress turned out. The only negative thing about party dresses is the amount of wear they get. Obviously that sucks when you really love what you made. I decided to fix that by making a very similar tank top which could get a lot more wear.

I finished this top a while ago and just never got around to showing it here on the blog. It has definitely gotten a lot of wear since I've finished it. You'd think that a transparent fringe top wouldn't be normal day wear but that's probably because you're not me. It's black so it doesn't stand out that much but the texture helps add interest to any outfit. I also personally love transparent tops because you can add a different level of interest to it by changing up what you wear underneath. You can choose different colours or styles of tanks to wear underneath which makes it look a bit different every time you wear it. You might be able to see in this photo that this time I chose a black lace bodysuit which gives it even more layers to the look. I'm a big fan of layering which makes this top a perfect addition to my wardrobe.

Finished - Chiffon Wrap Dress

It's almost as if I sew in themes, either colours or pieces. A while ago I was having a bit of a wrap moment. I was busy sewing wraps like it was going out of style. Wouldn't want to pick favourites... but this baby right here is definitely on the list.

When I saw this fabric I knew I wanted a dress. I love the print and wanted something that really shows it off just like this dress.

Just Finished - Black Transparent Fringy Dress

Getting back into the habit of getting things done around here and it feels nice. I found this black fabric a local second hand shop and there wasn't a doubt in my mind that it would come home with me. Something about the transparent black with the scraps sewn onto it everywhere appealed to my inner being. I thought the fabric would work perfectly as a simple dress. Just a simple loose fitting tank dress with a curved hem would let the fabric just be itself. Like most things I make out of transparent fabric, I didn't line the dress. I like the freedom of choosing what to wear underneath to choose just how revealing I want to be when I wear it. Will hopefully get a pic up soon of how it looks worn.

New In - Another Transparent Top

I'm currently trying to find the perfect fit tank top. This one here is definitely the best I've ever made. This fabric is pretty sheer but the print stops it from looking too sheer. Then again, I'm not really known for shying away from sheer pieces.
