Diy White Cotton Crop Top

I realize making a new crop top isn't seasonally appropriate, but I only had this much fabric leftover from an earlier skirt. Sometimes you just have to work with what you have. Weirdly enough I already have two other white crop tops, but this one is obviously different. I mean, it's a bit different from the other boxy crop top because that one was transparent.

It also doesn't hurt that I've never been one to be confined by what I should wear. I have no problem just layering my new crop top over something else and wearing it during the winter.

Diy White & Brown Skirt

I know I didn't get around to posting a picture of this skirt worn before, so here it is! The skirt is a basic short skirt with a lace overlay. I like the skirt; the only issue is I don't have any tops that seem to go with it other than the one I'm wearing here.  Obviously it's not an issue now that it's too cold to wear it, but next summer I'll probably revamp it to get more wear.

Diy White Skirt With Lace

On the blog almost two months ago now, I posted a quick picture of this fabric and mentioned I planned to make a skirt. I actually made the skirt a while ago just didn't get around to putting it up on the blog. Personally I really like the skirt and have worn it multiple times (before it got cold here). The thing is, I'm not a big fan of wearing brown and don't really have much that goes with it. So there is a small chance next summer I'll remove the lace part and just keep it a plain white skirt. I thought I had a picture of it on to show what it looks like worn but I don’t. I wanted to get a photo to put up with this one but the weather isn’t cooperating so... this will have to do.

Diy Flag Crop Top

There isn't much summer warm weather left, but that didn't stop me from making a new crop top. I blogged about this fabric when I bought it a while ago and mentioned I didn't know what I was going to do with it. I initially thought it would make a cute dress, but, I'm not a big fan of dresses. I personally prefer having seperates because then you can mix and match your pieces. So I decided to make a top and later get around to making a skirt. I don't have my usual sewing machine so I really wanted a piece that would be fairly simple to make. To make it just a tad bit more interesting I thought triangle ties would tie in the triangles on the fabric.

I like how it turned out. I'll have to wait and see how much wear I can get out of it now that it's cooling down here in Sweden. But the major positive is now I now the sewing machine I have here works just fine.

New In - Cotton Flag Fabric

Last week I decided to venture out and visit Karlstad. While walking aimlessly around the city center I found a fabric store. I wasn't planning on doing any shopping but I did end up buying this piece here. I'm not entirely sure what I am going to make with it yet, but I'm thinking maybe an easy sheath dress.

New In - Red Polka Dot Tank

I found this small piece of red polka dot fabric and decided to make a quick tank out of it. There wasn't much of it so I'm glad I managed to squeak this out. I'm also happy I have something new that's red instead of blue. This is actually my favourite shade of red too -- more of an orange toned red.
