Supplies
Canvas Tote
Red Crochet Thread
Twine
Needle

Step 1First I started by drawing the heart with chalk on my tote.
Step 2
Place the twine along the drawing and sew it down with a few stitches. I of course forgot to take a picture of this step. But if you look at the right side of the heart you can see the twine sewed in place with periodic red stitches.
Step 3
Once your drawing is sewed into place, all you have to do is wrap the twine with your crochet thread.
Here's the finished project! I personally really like how the heart pops off of the surface of the tote. I think if I were to make another project like this one I would use ribbon instead of crochet thread to make the project a little quicker!
