What I Wore - Greys On A Grey Day

I have a habit of wearing muted colours whenever the weather decides to be dreary and yesterday was no exception. It was slightly cool due to the overcast weather, so I dusted off my favourite cashmere sweater to be comfy. I managed to get lots of wear out of this skirt I sewed back in February. I like how it's a light and summery floral but not attention grabbing.

New In - Printed Linen Top

After a slight hiatus, I'm back to sewing pieces regularly. Let me introduce you to my new top. Technically this is another floral piece but it's also a slightly abstract print so you can't really tell. It is going to be a layering piece for my wardrobe and it will fit right in with all the other blue pieces.

What I Wore - Matching Separates

I'm slightly worried I might end up wearing way to many crop tops this summer. I absolutely love how light and summery they are. I also have a habit of randomly sewing crop tops out of scraps of fabric that would otherwise have gone unused. So to save face, I won't mention how many I own. I personally only wear crop tops so I end up showing only a sliver of skin. Haven't done enough (by enough, I mean any) crunches to wear them any other way.

I like this outfit because it's slightly differrent from what I usually wear. Yellow is one of the few colours I do not have much of in my closet. With my skin tone being very yellow plus the blond hair, wearing yellow ends up feeling like too much. But the varying shades in the floral print happens to be one of the few times yellow has looked fine on me.

New In - Transparent Long Sleeve Shirt

I had this random second hand fabric laying around that I decided to put to good use. The reason I never used it was I thought it was just a bit too cute and slightly juvenile with all the flowers. But with the summer coming, I know I'll definitely end up using a light breezy floral top.

Diy Floral Skirt

Don't mind me, I'm just casually rebelling against winter by making myself some mini skirts. This is another second hand fabric I found for only 50 cents. There wasn't much of it, but I thought it would make a great little skirt.

Nothing really special about the skirt but I really love it. It didn't take much time and it was really cheap to make, which means it is perfect in my eyes!

Diy Silk Circle Skirt

I definitely have enough short circle skirts in my wardrobe... but I couldn't resist making this. I found this amazing silk fabric second hand a while ago and felt the urge to sew something out of it. I decided a beautiful floral silk needed to be something slightly girly, hence, the circle skirt. It really isn't the season for it yet but I'll be ready when it is!
