What I Wore - Purple Flounce Skirt

This skirt is actually a new addition to my wardrobe. I didn't bother posting about it because I've made multiple just like it (red, black & a longer purple). If I have a knit fabric there is a 75% chance I'll make a flounce skirt with it.

What I Wore - Red & White

Ahhh, I remember the days when I used to make things and not just post outfit pictures. I wholeheartedly intend to get back to that but I haven't managed it just yet. I was in the process of making a dress but then I ran out of matching thread so I crawled away from my sewing machine and haven't looked at it since. Looking back at my May I wonder why I didn't commit to Me-Made-May. Most of my outfits include pieces I've made myself, I definitely could have pulled out an outfit a day. Neither of the red pieces worn here were store bought. The shirt is actually really old and the skirt is a remnant of my flounce skirt creating phase (which I don't think I'm out of yet).

New In - Crop Top and Skirt

I managed to get pictures of my new skirt with my new crop top. I personally wouldn't wear the two pieces together on their own because they look a little too "teenage club girl". With something on top, like this peplum blazer however, the skimpiness is toned down with just random flashes of skin peeking through.

New In - Another Flounce Skirt

As I mentioned before, I went through my wardrobe and decided I needed some fairly basic black pieces. One thing I really wanted was a cute black skirt. I decided I needed something that was on the plainer side but not boring. Perhaps not picking the most imaginative choice, I've made myself another short flounce skirt.

Here's just a quick look of first the front and then the back. Really excited for when the weather will finally warm up and I can put this piece into rotation.

Diy Printed Flounce Dress

Found this fabric at Value Village for $2 and thought it was a definite keeper. I decided it needed to be a fun and flirty dress. The dress itself is just a tank top pattern that I made longer and then a long rectangular piece that was gathered and sewed to the bottom. I added a navy bias tape to the hem, armholes, and neckline just to finish it off and to look more professional.

Love how the print of the dress looks like panels

Flounce Skirt

Sunday is officially sewing day so I spent mine making a new skirt!
