Finished - Transparent Black Fringe Top

I bought this fabric a long time ago and loved how fun it was. The black fringy chiffon pieces on the transparent fabric were unique and beautiful. I'm a big fan of playful fabrics and really loved the way this dress turned out. The only negative thing about party dresses is the amount of wear they get. Obviously that sucks when you really love what you made. I decided to fix that by making a very similar tank top which could get a lot more wear.

I finished this top a while ago and just never got around to showing it here on the blog. It has definitely gotten a lot of wear since I've finished it. You'd think that a transparent fringe top wouldn't be normal day wear but that's probably because you're not me. It's black so it doesn't stand out that much but the texture helps add interest to any outfit. I also personally love transparent tops because you can add a different level of interest to it by changing up what you wear underneath. You can choose different colours or styles of tanks to wear underneath which makes it look a bit different every time you wear it. You might be able to see in this photo that this time I chose a black lace bodysuit which gives it even more layers to the look. I'm a big fan of layering which makes this top a perfect addition to my wardrobe.

Finished - Orange Fringe Skirt

Look at that fringe! The things I do out of sheer boredom. Sometimes instead of searching around your wardrobe for something to match it's easier just to make something that does... I was so in love with this top I made I made a skirt to go with it.

It wasn't that long ago I blogged about wanting to make a boucle fringe skirt. Eventually I do manage to get around to making the things I want. You can see here that I found quite a bit on the internet for inspiration. There were so many beautiful options on that post; however, I also wanted something that would go with the top I made. I decided to go super basic since the top was attention grabbing enough (as basic as an orange fringe skirt can be).

Just Finished - Denim Tank

After making my new denim jacket there was only enough fabric to make one more basic piece. I did go back and forth over my options, but eventually, I decided a new top was the way to go. It was a quick project, all I had to do was pull out my diy tank top pattern (I've used plenty of times already here, here, & here) and get to working. I always use my own tank top pattern because it fits exactly the way I want it to. I like my tank tops loose and vaguely long. But the reason I really like the pattern is because of the armhole fit. I personally like it to be loose and low underneath my armpits.

Personally I can never have enough tank tops because I wear them year around. It's nice having one that's slightly different because of the denim fabric with the slight texture to it.
