Finished - Transparent Black Fringe Top

I bought this fabric a long time ago and loved how fun it was. The black fringy chiffon pieces on the transparent fabric were unique and beautiful. I'm a big fan of playful fabrics and really loved the way this dress turned out. The only negative thing about party dresses is the amount of wear they get. Obviously that sucks when you really love what you made. I decided to fix that by making a very similar tank top which could get a lot more wear.

I finished this top a while ago and just never got around to showing it here on the blog. It has definitely gotten a lot of wear since I've finished it. You'd think that a transparent fringe top wouldn't be normal day wear but that's probably because you're not me. It's black so it doesn't stand out that much but the texture helps add interest to any outfit. I also personally love transparent tops because you can add a different level of interest to it by changing up what you wear underneath. You can choose different colours or styles of tanks to wear underneath which makes it look a bit different every time you wear it. You might be able to see in this photo that this time I chose a black lace bodysuit which gives it even more layers to the look. I'm a big fan of layering which makes this top a perfect addition to my wardrobe.

Finished - Blue Fringe Top

I'm a big believer in the idea of having multiples when you find a piece of clothing you really like. When I made this orange top, I fell in love right away and barely took it off. Considering orange isn't exactly the most wearable colour it actually says a lot more about how much I really loved the top. When I bought this blue fabric I was more than excited to be able to make another version of the top in my favourite colour.

I'm still in love with the texture and asymmetry of this top but I did make a slight alteration from the previous version. In the new version I made less of a difference in the hems so that the proportions work a bit better. I love having another version of my asymmetric fringe top and it's great that I've been able to improve it a bit.

Finished - Plaid Fringe Skirt

What, another fringe skirt? I liked the look so much when I did it in orange I decided to do make another fringe skirt in plaid.

I have a thing about not making dresses but making skirts and tops that match instead. I like having the choice of wearing them together so it almost looks like a dress but also having the choice to wear them separate.

Finished - Plaid Fringe Crop Top

I definitely feel like one person shouldn't have the number of crop tops I currently have. And yet, it hasn't stopped me from making more.

Check out the newest addition to my crop top arsenal.

Finished - Plaid Fringe Jacket

When I bought this fabric I had no clue what I was going to make with it. But whenever I get a lot of a specific I make something with sleeves for some reason. I figure you can't go wrong with a layering piece for cool weather; so why not a plaid fringe jacket?

Finished - Orange Fringe Skirt

Look at that fringe! The things I do out of sheer boredom. Sometimes instead of searching around your wardrobe for something to match it's easier just to make something that does... I was so in love with this top I made I made a skirt to go with it.

It wasn't that long ago I blogged about wanting to make a boucle fringe skirt. Eventually I do manage to get around to making the things I want. You can see here that I found quite a bit on the internet for inspiration. There were so many beautiful options on that post; however, I also wanted something that would go with the top I made. I decided to go super basic since the top was attention grabbing enough (as basic as an orange fringe skirt can be).

Get The Style - Fringe Top

Fringe Tops

Finding tops with fringe is actually harder than it sounds, probably because most people aren't into fringe as much as I am. I did manage to find some interesting takes on the idea for your viewing pleasure.

Finished - Orange Fringe Top

I'm currently having a bit of a fringy moment right now. I love the texture fringe adds to a piece so I've been adding it to whatever I can.

This particular top has to be one of my favourites right now. I love the way the fringe and asymmetry work together to add interest.

Just Finished - Green Fringe Cowl

The knitting really has become a thing this winter. This scarf was almost exactly like the last cowl I knitted so to make it a little different I added the fringe all around it. I'm not entirely sure how commited I am to the fringe but for now it stays.

Inspiration - Boucle Jacket

Inspiration - Boucle Jacket

I have this habit of falling in love with something and kinda rolling with it. It doesn't matter whether it's a style, colour, or fabric. A switch in my head turns on and it's all I can think of. Right now, it's boucle and fringe. I'm definitely obsessing over it. I'd thought I'd visualize for you guys where my heads at, and who knows, maybe you'll be seeing something like these here on me soon.

New In - Black Fringy Dress

I realize this dress might not be everyone's tastes but I really love it. As much as I love black, it is really easy for it to make clothes a little boring. The texture/fringe on this dress really makes the dress interesting and different. For those worried it's a bit revealing, I have a slip dress that works perfectly underneath for a more conservative look.

DIY Pencil Skirt with Fringe

(Note to self - Iron before taking pictures)

Found this blue fabric while thrifting for only $1. I immediately thought it would make a great pencil skirt, however, I didn't want it to be too boring so I used the same fabric to add a fringe. With the cost of the zipper the entire skirt ended up just costing me $3, which if I may say so myself, is pretty good.
