Song of the Day - Wild Horses

I'm a sucker for a punchy beat and a gal with a nice voice.

Finished - Striped Winter Coat

As someone who has always lived somewhere that has cold winters, I have a special place in my heart for a winter coat. Considering for a large chunk of the year all anyone sees is your coat, I'm a big believer in having a few to wear. It's taken couple of weeks to share but here's a look at my newest coat.

Just Finished - Blue Knit Cowl

After finishing my recent hat I decided it would be nice to have a matching scarf. What I really wanted was to knit something quick and easy, hence this cowl.

Song of the Day - Slaves

Who doesn't what to listen to moody music on a Wednesday? Don't worry I'm here for you.

Finished - Knit Hat

Don't mind me; I'm busy keeping myself warm while knitting away. Technically this isn't even yarn but it's thick enough to keep my head extra toasty.

Finished - Matelasse Shawl Collar Blazer

Since I've been slacking in the blogging department I've never gotten around to showing you my newest blazer. My first post of 2016 is a project from 2015 I never got around to posting.  If you follow my Instagram then you know it doesn't actually fit into the Just Finished category (so here's a new category... just "finished") but what the heck, here it is!

Diys To Try - December

The laziness and tranquility of a Sunday feels just perfect to me. I personally think they are great to schedule a little time to try a new diy. I've rounded up a couple of the most interesting I've seen recently from around the internet. If you're looking for a little more inspiration feel free to drop by my Diy Board on Pinterest.

It's been a while since I've been here... To ease back into the groove I've decided to share a song.

Elsewhere - Pinterest Bag Obsession

I've mentioned before about my Pinterest obsession, it's definitely because of how calming and therapeutic browsing hundreds of photos are. Currently, one of my favourite boards is my Purses // Handbags board. While browsing through the board it is easy to see I'm having a bit of a love affair right now with bucket bags. I'm actually contemplating making myself a bucket bag from reclaimed leather. But it's good to know that if I do go through with making my own bucket bag I'll have lots of inspiration to pick through.

Diys To Try - Planters and Vases

After years of steering clear of plants, I've recently fallen madly in love with all things green.  Gone are the days when I used to kill anything that required soil. I guess with age has come the maturity of remembering to take care of plants. With this new found green thumb, I've also become obsessed with planters and vases. Here's a couple fantastic diys I've found to offer a bit inspiration for this weekend. If you're interested you can always follow along with my favourite diys on my Pinterest Board // Diy

  1. Marble Dipped Vase
  2.  Leather Wrapped Planter
  3.  Gold Leaf Vase
  4.  Balsa Wood Planter
  5.  Honeycomb Planter
  6.  Colour Blocked Planters

What I Wore - Red & Seafoam

I've been told I don't dress for cool weather like other people do. My counter-argument is I'm a Canadian with viking blood, I don't feel cold weather... The reality though? I love skirts & dresses so much it takes quite a dip in temperature for me to retire them for fall.

New In - Diy Print Dress With Tie

Sometimes I make bad decisions. Making a very summery dress right when summer is over and it is starting to get cold... is one of them. I can't help it. I thought the dress would be super cute so I made it. I figure summer will come back around eventually and when it does, I'll have a cute dress to wear.

I know it's almost just like the last dress I sewed. This one is different though, it has a tie with a bow. I liked the fit and style so I figured it wouldn't hurt to have another.
